Services

Every horse has different performance demands and structural composition. Just like you, we want the best for your equine partner! After the initial complementary evaluation, I will create a custom treatment plan that is unique to your horse’s needs. My bodywork disciplines include Structural Integration, Performance Massage, and Reiki. I will determine the perfect recipe to meet your future performance goals.

Structural Integration – based on the Equine Natural Movement Series (ENMS):
The Equine Natural Movement Series is typically comprised of five sessions. Each session works progressively to discover and unwrap each horse’s fascial adhesions, or holding patterns. The practitioner gently helps the horse work through these releases and guides the equine structure back to a more balanced and natural position.

Performance and Maintenance Massage:
Massage is defined as the assessment of the soft tissues and joints of the body and the treatment or prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function and or to relieve pain. Like massage therapy for humans, Equine Massage Therapy can be used to treat a specific problem or injury, to maintain the health of the soft tissues and joints and to prevent future injury as well as to promote the proper development and use of the soft tissues and joints.

Reiki:
(pronounced ráy-key) is a healing practice that promotes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance. Reiki means “Universal energy” and is a non-invasive, non-diagnostic, holistic therapy. All traditional and modern forms of energy therapy including Reiki, are believed to work by stimulating clearance of energy blocks and allowing the natural healing mechanisms to work. The Reiki practitioner works as a channel for the energy which is activated by intention. Various hand positions are used around the client with light touch or no touch. Reiki is experienced as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth or coolness among many other possible sensations, or non at all. (Note for human sessions: The client remains fully clothed to receive the treatment.)
